Happy New Year!
We have officially transitioned from 2014 to 2015 and we look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for His people.
Transitioning from one year to the next or from one stage of life to the next is not always an easy thing to do. For some people, the first day of a new year holds excitement and hope for good things to come over the next 12 months. Despite their circumstances, these people believe that the fulfillment of promises made in the past and hopes that have been deferred, will finally manifest in the new year. However, those whose dreams have faded and whose faith has waned, fear that more trouble is waiting for them in the new year.
Whatever your circumstances or your fears for 2015, remember that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is with you. Jesus Christ paid the price with His own life so that you can live a life that is pleasing to Him.
It’s easy to allow evil forces to override our faith by making the facts of our problems and concerns appear so strong that even Jesus Christ cannot handle them or believe that He could handle them if He cared enough for you. If this is the mindset you have today, then fill yourself with faith by reading God’s Word, the Bible. Allow God’s Word to overcome your fear, which has been defined as an acronym for “False Evidence Appearing Real.”
Jesus said in John 10:10 (NLT), The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
No matter what you are going through, trust Jesus to walk with you through it and to bring you out of it! Cry out to Him, commit your life to Him and see Him for Who He Is: The Son of the Living God. Stop focusing on yourself and focus on Jesus. Declare that 2015 will be your best year ever because of Jesus’ love for you!
We pray that the Lord God Almighty bless you and protect you in 2015; may He smile on you, grant you His favor and grace and give you His peace (Numbers 6:24-26, NLT).
