Prayer for Lahore, Pakistan

IMG_5881As families in Lahore, Pakistan, celebrated Easter Sunday, March 28,  in a public park, a suicide bomber entered into a public park and blew himself up. The blast killed more than 70 people, mostly women and children, and injured hundreds of others.

The next day, a Pakistanti Taliban group claimed responsibility for the bombing, saying that it deliberately intended to target Christians. However, Muslims were also caught in the blast. Pakistan’s army detained more than 200 people in connection with the bombing. Continue reading

7 Reasons To Praise Jesus Christ As Lord

christ-817998_1280As we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we praise Him for the forgiveness of our sins and restoring our relationship back to God, the Father.

During this Easter season, we see Jesus Christ in His human form, coming to Earth to fulfill the work that God, the Father, has assigned Him. He healed the sick, taught the Word of God, and preached the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus also gathered disciples so that they can continue the work He started after He left the Earth and returned to heaven where He sits at the right hand of His Father. Continue reading

Prayer for Brussels, Belgium

Prayer for the United States of America

IMG_5881The 2016 presidential race is unlike any political race we have seen in recent history. The candidates’  personal attacks on each other, insults hurled at different groups in society with no consideration of how these negative comments affect them, physical violence at political rallies, and strife encouraged between supporters of rival political candidates have news reporters, political analysts and voters saying, “We have never seen anything like this before.” There is even a division among some Christian leaders in this election season, according to news reports.

This post is not to discuss political views but to call on believers in Jesus Christ to appeal to God to have mercy and compassion on our country. As we humble ourselves and come before God with repentant hearts (2 Chronicles 7:14), we must ask Him for His strategies and tactics on how to pray against the demonic activity in the spiritual realm that could potentially bring total anarchy to our country. “Tie Me To The Altar, Lord!”

When “life” happens, our flesh (the natural man, as the Bible calls it), can look at it either positively or negatively. However, when we look at it from a spiritual perspective, whether what happens is good or bad, we KNOW it’s good, right? How do we know that? Because the Bible says in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for our good.

We know that this tiny inch called “life on earth” is so incredibly small compared to the length of eternity.  However, when we are pressed on every side, this life on earth can be overwhelming and requires us to draw near to our Lord.  When I’m overwhelmed, I crawl under His “wing” (Psalm 91:4) and try to remind myself that is where I am 100 percent of the time! Make 2016 Your “Comeback” Year!

If you ar31Tc8CDh2NL._SX325_BO1,204,203,200_e in need of (and are expecting) a turnaround, a fresh start and a new direction in 2016, then The Comeback: It’s Not Too Late and You’re Never Too Far is for you.

Author Louie Giglio, pastor of Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia, has written a book to show his readers how they can go through – and get to the other side of – the obstacles they are currently facing. Pastor Giglio says that God is “in the business of giving fresh starts to people,” and proves this statement by highlighting his personal experiences as well as those of others.  For instance, Pastor Giglio tells of his battle with anxiety-driven depression that gripped his life and how he slowly emerged from his tunnel of darkness only by the hand and grace of God. Move Forward in 2016!

door-1013705_1920If God closes a door in 2016 that is familiar  to you, don’t stand in front of it and knock. Sometimes God closes doors because He knows it is time for us to move forward. However, He knows we won’t budge unless circumstances force us to move. If you believe that God is rearranging your circumstances, then make it easy on yourself and ask Him to help you move forward with His plans for you in  2016.

Let’s Celebrate Jesus Christ

As we prepare our hearts to celebrate Christmas Day, let’s not get lost in the crass commercialism that’s around us during this time of the year, but let’s remember the real reason for the season – Jesus Christ.

The Christmas story begins with Joseph and Mary having to leave their home in Nazareth and travel to Bethlehem due to an order by the Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus. The emperor issued a decree that a census should be taken and had to return to the place of his or her ancestors to be counted for the census. Failure to do so meant death.  Continue reading
